• Roulette bets

When it comes to placing bets in Roulette there are many ways to bet., but no matter how you play and how you bet, always remember that the house always has the advantage. As long as you know that and go into this game with your eyes wide open, you may take a different approach in how you see winning and losing with this game in particular.

First, let’s begin our game with introducing the Outside bets. There are essentially four ways to play these outside bets by choosing Red or Black, Odd or Even, High and Low, or Dozens. Red or Black is fairly simple, because you are just choosing whether the ball will fall into a Red or Black slot on the wheel. Betting this way pays out 1 for 1.

Then you may choose Odd or Even by predicting whether the number it lands on will be Even or Odd. In this case neither the 0 in Single 0 roulette nor the 00 in the American style roulette are Even or Odd and so you would choose any number outside of these two numbers. This next method of betting is choosing whether the ball will fall into a certain group of numbers that are either High or Low. The numbers from 1-18 are considered Low numbers and the High numbers are considered 17-36. You may also hear this type of bet referred to as the “first” 18 bet or the “last” 18 bet.

Betting on the “Dozens” is very simple as well. It is making bets on groups of numbers that have 12 numbers in them. For instance, you can place your bets on numbers 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36, and these numbers will pay out at 2 to 1.

Moving right along to the inside bets, this is where you can bet a multitude of ways. For instance, you can choose to bet on one single number for a payout of 35 to 1, make a two number split where you bet on just 2 numbers for a payout of 17 to 1, you can make a “street” bet which consists of placing your bet on three numbers by putting your chips on the line to the left of three numbers and the payouts for this type of bet are 11 to 1.

You can choose to make a “double” street bet where you are placing your chips on 6 numbers instead of only 3 in the “street” bet and these payouts are 5 to 1. You can decide to make a corner bet which is a bet that you place on four numbers by placing your chips in the “intersection” of which ever four numbers your going to bet on for a payout of 8 to 1, and finally there is one additional bet you can make in single 0 roulette, where you bet only on the 0, 1, 2, and 3. The payout is the same as the corner bet at a payout of 8 to 1.

Now you know how to make many combinations of these bets when you are playing single 0 roulette. Though it may seem like there are a lot of ways you can bet, if you happen to forget or lose track of what something meant, you’re sure to make some new friends at the table who have probably played roulette before and would love to give you a hand!
